Located just north of Alton, this steel stringer bridge crosses a small drainage ditch alongside Iowa Highway 60 near 430th Street.
Built in 1910, the bridge consists of a single steel stringer span, set onto concrete substructures. The beams on this bridge are arranged in two sets of four, for eight total beams. Two other identical spans exist between Hospers and Alton.
It appears that the bridge is relatively unchanged since the original construction.
Overall, the bridge appears to be in good condition, with little notable deterioration, with the exception of some minor spalling.
The author has ranked the bridge as being minimally significant, due to the common design.
